Happy Birthday Matt

It was Matt's Birthday on Thurday so we went to Disneyland. Matt, Alicia, & I had a blast riding rides, seeing parades, and shows. Matt & I now have annual passes and Alicia of course is still free. We had lots of fun just riding rides and they got to check out CA adventure for the first time. They also got to dance in the parade.
It was a great day and I am so glad that I was able ot spend the time with my little ones. They are growing so fast. I can't believe that my little boy is 5 already.

Write more soon,

Everyone back at home

Well,

They are all coming back today and it is good. I have enjoyed my peace and quiet but I do love those four kids. I also know that Paula has decided she would rather not have four children.(HAHAHA)

We go pick up Allison's school schedule on Thursday and then they all start back to school on August 20th. It will be here before we know it.

I am planning a celebration for Teresa on Aug 10th. A few friends are meeting us at the La Mirada Aquatics center to enjoy water slides and swimming. It is really affordable and fun for multiple ages. Not very much for older teens but for 12 and under it will prove to be a fun day. Picnic lunch and a birthday cake will finish off the celebration. If anyone else wants to join us call me and I will tell you where it is at. I will post pics after the event also.

I recovered a chair that I got awhile ago from the salvation army and it looks so beautiful. Anyone that can remember my blue sewing chair will be amazed at the new chair. I have posted a before and after photo. Sorry the before photo really isn't very good and basically the fabric had completely work away and the padding was beig moved around and played with by all my children.

I hope that life is going well for everyone else and I will post again soon.

Love ya lots,
Rebecca

All settled In

Well everyone,

Long time no updates but we are all settled in our new Orange County Home. I miss lots of wonderful friends and I am attempting to downsize before I ever have to move again. Still some boxes to unpack but nothing of real importance so it may get thrown out. We found out that his place is actually bigger than the house in Corona and we were surprised.

Life goes on though. Allie & Teresa are visiting their grandparents in Utah. Matt & Alicia are not quite ready for that adventure. We have visitied the library many times for storytime and we have visited many playlands to see which ones are the best.

Matt is teaching himself to swim and is actually doing really well. He loves his goggles and swims like a fish. I try to go to the pool often so he can practice. He knows his limitations though and doesn't go any deeper than he is comfortable.

Alicia likes to play in the water and mostly likes to ride on my back in the pool.

I started working on the Savior of the World costumes. It is going to be a great play I am so excited that I get to learn and be a part of telling the story of Christ's birth and ressurection. It is going to be such a spiritually growing experience.

Don't really have the awesome neighbors here that we had in Corona and boy do we miss you guys. The next door neighbors are interesting and Matt has made friends with the little boy Preston who is 6. Other than that we have met a few neighbors but no one talks to anyone else on the street probably because you never know who speaks engish and who doesn't. The Duplex hooked to ours is up for rent so Iwould love to find someone cool to rent it that I could hang out with.

The new airport is interesting and I have made some cool friends there. I am grateful for the new expeiences and growth potential that they have there.

Overall I am enjoying the transition but I am kinda lonely sometimes so I am looking for park playgroups or a MOPS group to join in the fall when the kids go back to school. I figure though it is good because I have lots of projects to do and I am back working out daily to continue on my weightloss journey.

I am eagerly looking forward to my trip to Italy. I am going to get the ball rolling on the passport and start planning when I am going to go. Maybe during Spring Break for the kids.

Oh well that is all my ramblings for now. I will try to not let so much time pass in between entries in the future.

Love ya lots,
Rebecca

Tomorrow starts the adventure...

Hey everyone,

Tomorrow we get the keys to the new house in Orange. We are all very excited. We have been packing like crazy and hopefully the move will go very smoothly.

Allison is excited about Girls camp. It will be her first time and sucha great experience for her. She had a Car wash and Bake sale fundraiser on Saturday to earn the money for camp. She still need to earn more but we will also help her with a portion of it.

Teresa is looking forward to a relaxing summer but she is going to do some additional work on math facts and reading. I just haven't told her this yet(haha).

Matthew starts his summer school program tomorrow so for the next 5 weeks he will get a sneak peek at life as a Kindergartener. He is excited but it will be the unknown so it will also be an adventure and challenge for him.

Alicia is just cruising along as usual. She has been singing the Peanut Butter and Jelly song today and it is really cute(Thanks Heather for introducing us to the song).

Anyone that would like our new address please send me an email and I will email the address and phone number to you.

I am having lots of fun adjusting to the Long Beach airport and all the differences. who knew that such a little airport would provide me so many things to learn.

Jim is just itching to not have to commute anymore and says that he will get 7 hours of his life back each week. We will have to find a constructive way for him to spend those 7 hours.

We love you all,

The Robinsons

Moving right along

Well everyone,

Big happenings inthe Robinson Casa. We were approved for the rental house that we found in Orange. We will soon be living back in the OC. Yeah:)

With my transfer to the Long Beach airport effective on June 7th and Jim still working in Irvine this moves makes soo much sense finacially. We will not have to commute very far to work.

The kids are kinda sad to be moving away from friends but they also are looking forward to this new adventure.

The 10th is Allison, Teresa, & Matt's last day of school. We are so happy that they have done so well this year. Allison has had straight A's basically all year. Teresa has increased her reading ability and is excelling at math. Matthew's speech has developed to the point at which he is almost within the normal range. Alicia is her silly little self. She loves to sing and if you travel in the car with her you are sure to hear her whole repitoire of songs.

As we look toward the changes in our lives and the different situations that we are all entering we just want everyone of our current friends to know how much we love them and that we are so grateful for their love and support. So to each person that has been a part of our lives during the last 5 years while we have lived in Corona, you will forever be be part of our hearts and we will think and keep in touch with you often. Please also keep in touch with us.

That is it for now I will be sending out new address postcards at some point.

Love ya all,

Robinson clan

The Latest

Hello,

Well all is well in the Robinson Casa. We are moving forward.

Allison graduated from Primary at church and turned 12. Scary. She is officially a Young Woman.

Teresa keeps injuring herself. We think she needs to be more careful.

Matt is going on a field trip next week with his preschool class. He also gets the idea during the middle of church that he is going home and went so far as to pack up my dad's church books and try to pull him out during class. I guess he can only wear a tie for so long.

Alicia's nose has healed nicely and now we are wearing panties and trying to use the potty. Hopefully it catches on quickly. She insisted on getting new dora sandals & a dora shirt yesterday at Walmart. She is too young to start shopping for herself. It was really cute though.

Jim is surviving a hurt toe. The sliding screen door fell on it. Yesterday it finally stopped hurting while he was walking around.

I have started my new shift and I like it. I love to be busy and we are swamped for most of the morning. The only thing is that I need to go to bed earlier. 2:30 am wakeup time comes really fast if I don't go to bed till 9 pm. Oh well I will try to go to bed earlier. I have also lost 20 inches in the last two months it is always measuring time again so hopefully all this work on diet and at the gym pays off.

Love,
Rebecca

Fun, Fun Times

Well everyone,

Life is back to normal and fun as always. We had a blast at Disneyland. Some really good times. We rode 21 of the rides so it was crowded but not too crowded.

I took my mom back to kanab and had a mini vacation with my two youngest.

The fun is just all around us. Both girls have field trips on Friday. Allison is entering the Doodle 4 Google contest so hopefully she wins.

Matt is doing okay in school and hates to get up so early to go to school. His bus picks him up at 6:40am. Sooooo very early.

Alicia scraped her nose so she has a big sore right there. Luckily she waited till after pictures to do it.

I am back at the gym and pushing along on my goal of slimming down.

Jim is surviving without WOW but tired from working on the project at work that has to be done my the 31st. Please pray that he will be able to finish in time.

I will post pictures soon of us and our adventures.

Love ya,
Rebecca

The day we all eagerly wait for(or at least I do). It is my Birthday tomorrow March 11. I will be a very old woman at the ripe age of 33. The kids and I are playing hookie and going to Disneyland for a day of rides and fun. I will post pictures on my next post.
I love to recieve birthday wishes and gifts are always welcomed(HAHAHA).

Other than that everything else is the same. I am still going to the gym regularly and loving it. The kids are doing good. The house cleaning is still a tad bit overwhelming. And I can't wait till next year when I can travel to Italy and play with heather. maybe that will be my present next year.

Love ya,
Rebecca

Birthday Girl

Hey everyone,

Alicia turns two on Sunday so we will be celebrating.

Well the bid went well and I had a choice of two shifts that I wanted one was working primarily with baggage and the other one was working with the passengers. I chose working with the passengers because I am a people person and I love to talk to the passengers. I have met some very interesting people.

So starting April 12th I will be working from 4am till 9 am. It is a busy time at the airport so i will be moving constantly. I will definitely have to have an early bedtime. I will only be working Sat, Sun, Mon, & Tue. Days off Wed, Thurs, & Fri.

The kids are all doing well.
Love ya all,

Rebecca

Listening

So life can be so crazy and yet when I find myself riding in the car with only one of my children I find the best thing to do is to ask unusual questions. Tonight Teresa had a doctors appointment and I ask her what she is most worried about. She said getting to school on time. I was shocked. We are usually early getting to school and I never would have thought that she was worried about it. Learning what is going on in their heads is so eye opening.
I have decided that I am going to compose a list of questions to ask my kids every once in awhile so that I can understand them and they know that I am interested in them. So now I ask everyone to send me suggested questions to ask. I will post my final list when I decide which questions are most valuable to me.
Thanks

I'm back!!!

Whew so much going on. Not stressful just busy as usual. Today was a school holiday so of course the house looks horrible. I can catch up tomorrow though. Other than that we have an assortment of colds at our house. I rearranged furniture so now there is more room in the Living room. I made koolaid pops for my kids and they are in love with them.
I have decided that I am a loner in many ways. I have lots of friends some best friends that I would tell anything to but I think that many people do not really know as much about me as they think they do. I think that the facade that I feel is expected of me is most of the time too much work.
Iam richly blessed however for having those people in my life that I can be my true self with. The people that know about my faults and insecurities. So to them Thank you and please always be there for me.

Starting again

Well monday is a new week and time to work harder to change bad habits and create new ones. I really had today on track. I got the cleaning done that I wanted to do. I even made brownies with my son and played games with him. It has been a good day. I feel successful I wen walking and went to the gym. Hopefully I can keep up this success as I head into the week. Wish me luck and success as I go through the week.

Saturday(another day to work)

Is saturday really sucha special day. If anything I would say that it is a hectic day. I mean think about it. You kinda sleep in but not really because there are so many things to do that you didn't have time to do during the week. I find that on saturdays I have to catch up and get ready for sunday all at the same time. Luckily I am soooo good at handling the stress(HAHAHA). But at least the whole family is home to help and a calm breakfast with the kids is better than when you are trying to get them to hurry up so they won't be late to school.

I made it to Friday!!!

Yay! It is friday. The older girls are at school. I have to straigthen the Living room go for a walk and then the little ones and I are going to the park to play. I think that this week has been one of my busiest since chirstmas. I am so glad that they are not all like this week. January is almost over and I heard some women talking yesterday about how fast this year is going by. The thing is as we get older each year is a smaller part that makes up our lives. when we are five 1 year is 1/5th of our lives. But when we are thirty 1 year is 1/30th of our lives maybe that is why it seems to go so fast as we get older also perhaps because we are not in such a hurry for time to go by as we are when we are little. Well it is time for me to get moving so that we can go to the park & play.

Changing times

Okay so I conquered a mountain of laundry yesterday and the goodwill truck is driving by today so I have three big bags to go out. Getting rid of this stuff feels so freeing. I have definitely decided to simplify. Sometimes the stuff bogs us down I found a great website that my friend Heather told me about that is helping me declutter my life. The website is Flylady.net. They have lots of great advice.
My sister Paula & her husband Chip came over for dinner last night just to have fun. It was enjoyable for most I think.
I am enjoying getting to know friends though facebook. It makes you feel like a part of their lives.
So for thursday I hope it is better than yesterday.

Busy, Busy

Well my friend Misty was unable to come over for dinner but we hope she gets better soon. Allison got hurt at school so we are dealing with that and I am still looking for the missing library book. So life is really busy but I don't know what I would do if it slowed down. This weeks question is: What is the hardest area to keep clean? I look forward to the responses.

What is calm?

Monday morning came up so fast and always with its challenges. Allison had to go to the doctor and has two ear infections. Alicia slept in our bed and so Jim & I slept horribly. Poor baby has a cold though so we are patient with her. Matt happily went to school and teresa was dissappointed in the lunch offered at school. So my question is what is calm? Does it ever happen? We will wait and see what the rest of the week holds for us.

Weekend???

well today I seem to be in a funk. Maybe it is the gray skies but perhaps other factors have contributed to my gloom. Oh well I have to keep going. If you have a good idea to drop the funk let me know cause right now I don't have any. Perhaps I should have just stayed in bed today. Oh well life goes on and I have to go to work early. No late night saturday flights so we get out early. Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Happy Friday!!!

I got an awesome gift this morning. I got to chat on facebook with my wonderful friend Heather. I miss her so much and it was so fun to get to talk to her. :) She recently moved to Italy with her husband and I know they are having wonderful new adentures. I have also been fortunate to be able to have great chats with other friends through facebook. On to us though. The kids are off school today so it is a busy rainy day. Lots to do and errands to run. Back to work tonight but that's okay. Havea great weekend to my friends and family that read my post.

What is a Clean House???

So I got up early today because Alicia is SICK. :( Oh well lots of fluids and antibiotics. I also have to do the thing I hate and clean the house. I have ignored it for a few days and it definitely shows. I want to know how some people are able to keep their house clean and I can't. Maybe I need to get rid of the kids(?). I tried decluttering but someow the clutter finds its way back. I am open to realistic and crazy suggestions. Who knows what will work. I decided that I cannot start reading another book till the house looks better so I have incentive.

Busy Day

So everyone Happy Wednesday!!!! No cleaning today just lots of other things to do. Fixing computers and of course exploring Facebook. It has been so much fun to connect with old friends. Alicia was up in the night so of course I am running on limited sleep. Eceryone else is at school and hopefully doing well. Teresa had her math benchmarks today so she studied extra hard last night. One of allison's Best friends is turning twelve today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMILY!!!!! No work tonight Yeah!!! I am not sure where the rain came from but it is so refreshing. Have a great day.

Awesome Book

Well back to the routine as usual. I finished a awesome book last night that everyone should know about. It is called Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah. It is about two best friends and the path that their friendship takes. Sold in paperback at Walmart or check it out from the local library. Although for me it made me more retrospective. It made me really think about my friends and the status of those relationships. It made me want to try harder to be a better friend and the work on past friendships that have become strained. So wish me luck that I can improve myself and love and accept me friends for exactly who they are. To all of you I really care and just want the best for each of you.

The beginning

Well here goes. I have now idea who will read this but people tell me to make a blog and so I did. Jim & I have been married for almost 12 years now and have been bessed with 4 good(?) children. Their names are Allison, Teresa,Matthew, & Alicia. So for now this is the beginning and hopefully more will come.
