Change is in the air

Well the letter came and Allison got into Orange County High School of the Arts - production & design conservatory. We are so happy for her. It is a great school and she will grow so much. There is a certain amount of fundraising we must do so if you want to help then just send me an email.

The other kids are all plugging along and growing and changing. I am in a growth process myself. I am excited to work with buisnesses to grow them.

I have been thinking lately that I like helping people. I like doing things for others but I also need to do things for me. So I am on the hunt to find things to improve me. I am going to be joining Shauna on the 30 challenge with Visalus. I also have recommitted to working out and putting my health first. I am important also.

If you are on LinkedIn, please look for me and connect with me. I am always looking for great professional contacts.

All for now,

April already

I cannot believe that it is April already. My oldest child becomes a teenager. I cannot believe it. The time has flown by. I mean it seems like yesterday that she was so little. I guess it means that I am getting older....oh no!!!

The other children are all enjoying spring break but I cannot say the same for me.
The play was great and the costumes looked fabulous. My sister came the other day and helped me clean the house. I will be singing her praises forever. This was of course after our fun visit to the San Luis Rey de Francia mission. Such a beautiful place. It is located in Oceanside and is so serene. They actually use parts of it for retreats and still have regular worship services there. Also we learned that the movie Zorro was filmed there. Although I think the fourth grade mission project is lame sometimes we definitely had fun learning about the mission's history.

So I hae survived week one of Spring Break and am looking forward to a calmer 2nd week. The OCHSA letters come out starting this weekend. We are praying extra hard that Allison will get in.

I helped a friend of mine clean her house when she was moving and we had so much fun. I am so glad that I was able to be there for her. My question is why people tend not to help each other out anymore? I mean in older times you knew your neighbors and helped them rather than just complaining about them. Does anyone think it is possible to go back to that kind of a time?

So till next time keep on connecting.

Costumes..... helping others

Well the bug costumes are almost done....yippee.

In othe news Spring break starts this afternoon :( I might need a trip to the Day spa at the end of the next two weeks.

I have been thinking recently about the decline of people willing to help others out. I mean I would help anyone if I possibly can but the people aI have observed are not that way. Such a sad state of affairs.

Oh well my ranting for today is done I guess I better go pick up allison from school since the other three are already flooding my front yard.

Catch ya later,
Rebecca

Can you believe it?

Last night I put the twitter widget on my blog page. I was so excited. Yeah I know you probably don't think it is a big deal but it was so much fun!!!! I also put a Networked Blogs widget on but I didn't really like it so I took it off.

In family news: We had steaks for dinner last night that were so good. I BBQ them. So tasty we had so friends over for dinner and played some rockband afterward. Our Rockband 2 disc isn't working anymore so if anyone has suggestions to try to get it to work I am open to listening. A few minor scratches(not bad though). We cleaned the disc and the wii but no luck. :(

Spring Break starts next week and I am so scared to be home all day with all the kiddos. I may just hide in my bdroom with the door locked...lol.

Thats it for now. Have a great day.

As time marches on

Hello world,

I am running like 300 miles per hour and yet enjoying every minute of it. I have been helping a friend of mine as she struggles through chemotherapy. Some things I have learned:

1. Annual Exams are so important for every family member not just the kids.

2. If you are around a person going through Chemo expect to have things repeated to you often.

3. They will tire out so much faster than you even though there is still work to do...Be patient.

4. Go with what you feel is best for your body cause Doctors are not always right.

Anyway I love my friend dearly and am so glad that I can be here for her. On to news of the kids.

Allison: No OCHSA news but 13 comes next month. I am so not ready. She gets so emotional but at the same time can see things that need to get done and helps out a little more willingly....at least when I ask her to.

Teresa: Anyone that thinks a 9 year old is fun is crazy. They don't do anything unless they are getting paid or getting an extra privledge.

Matthew: Currently is enjoying flooding the yard although it seems that he is alergic to the grass becuase he keeps breaking out when he floods the yard. I really need to seal off the hose so that he cannot turn the water on!!!

Alicia: Goes to preschool and I think we are both happy with the situation. We have time apart so I still remember those things about her that I love.

Breaking out into new arenas

In other news Alicia is 3 and goes to preschool three mornings a week. I just finished sewing thirteen catapillar costumes that are so awesome. The three lady bugs are next.

Allison is waiting to hear from OCHSA. Her auditions went well for Integrated Arts, Visual Arts, & Production and Design. We should hear by the end of the month if she is accepted.

Teresa is eagerly anticipating her field trip to the San juan mission. I am kinda glad because I get to go with her.

Matthew is working on his grammatical errors and learning social cues.

Life is good. We are overall pretty healthy and settled in our world.

The end of February.....

Well I have made it through the past two months. I am so excited because my birthday is coming and change is in the air. I have started a growth process that cannot be stopped. I have decided to make my scheule fit the gym so since there was no time to go during the day I decided to get up at 4am and go to the gym. I know it is very crazy and my mental health has been questioned by many since I decided to do this. Alas I have to work on my changes to being a better me.
I went and took care of my parents for a few days. No one understands how hard that is till you have to do it. All I know if that I want to be better prepared for retirement so that I can enjoy my later years of life. I want to be healthy & financially sound. Thankfully I still have some time to pull this together.HAHA
So much fun to have I am so glad to be alive.
